Unsalted Butter - 2tbsp + to grease ramiken
Heavy Cream – 1/2 cup
Bitter Sweet Chocolate, chopped – ½ cup
Maple Syrup – 3 tsp
Nutmeg, powder - 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon – 1/4 tsp
Canned Chipotle Pepper - 3/4 tsp
Egg, lightly beaten – 2 ea
Sour Dough Bread (Cut into 1/2" cube) - 2 cups
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Generously butter 4 ramekins.
2. On the Stove top, melt the butter (2 tablespoons). Add the cream and the chocolate.
3. Cook till the chocolate melts over low heat, stirring constantly.
4. Add in the maple syrup, nutmeg, cinnamon & chipotle.
5. Remove from heat and whisk in egg until combined.
6. Fold in bread cubes, thoroughly and let stand 5 minutes.
7. Fill ramekin with bread mixture and bake until puffed and set around edge but still moist in center, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
